For Konami Month at DOD , I knew there would be a slew of Castlevania tunes, and probably loads of guitar acrobatics. So I decided to do a decidedly less "guitar hero" version of a song from a different game series. I've played and beaten Silent Hill 1 - 4, and I've loved the different musical moods Akira Yamaoka establishes in the games. I especially like the song "Promise" from SH2, but I felt it could be a bit more dynamic and dramatic, so that's what I tried to do with my arrangement. I didn't play around too much with re-inventing the song, opting to concentrate more on making the parts as musical and dramatic as possible. While this approach didn't get me super high scores, I'm still quite happy with how the arrangement came out.
tech stuff: There's not a lot to say here. All the guitars are the AX10G run direct again, and I'm quite pleased with the tones.
update from DOD version
I mixed this down again to get the overall volume up and to try and get the leads in the first couple sections to be a little more out front in the mix.
